Dr. Young Jun KimMedical Director, Violacell Plastic Surgery

Violacell Plastic Surgery

Dr. Young Jun Kim's clinic in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a short walk from Sinsa Station, opened in January 2025. The clinic explains its name as rising, regenerating and blooming again, like a flower in spring. Every treatment is planned after an in-person consultation with Dr. Kim. The clinic provides non-surgical treatment.

Visiting the Clinic

Please book a consultation in advance. At the first visit, Dr. Kim examines the face in person, asks about previous procedures and medical history, and explains which options suit the findings, along with their limits and risks. The treatment plan is decided only after this examination.

What to Bring to a Consultation

Your treatment history

Previous fillers, threads, fat grafting, implants, energy-device treatments and earlier surgery all change how tissue behaves. Bring the names of products and dates if you have them; if you do not remember exactly, an approximate history still helps.

Your medical history

Tell the clinic about chronic conditions, current medicines (especially blood thinners and supplements that affect bleeding), allergies and smoking. Some of these change whether a procedure is safe or how it must be prepared.

What bothers you most

Photos of yourself from several years ago, or a short list of the areas that bother you in order of priority, help separate the main change from minor ones. The plan is built around what matters most to you, within what is medically realistic.

Time for recovery

If you are visiting Seoul from abroad, plan your stay around the treatment you are considering and allow a few days for swelling or bruising to settle before flying, in case a follow-up check is useful. Each treatment page lists typical recovery ranges.

Before and After Your Treatment

Instructions are given individually for each treatment, but the general principles are the same: tell the clinic about anything that affects bleeding or healing, follow the aftercare advice, and contact the clinic early if something seems wrong.

  • Tell the clinic about blood thinners and supplements that increase bruising; adjust them only as instructed by the clinic and, where relevant, your own doctor.
  • Avoid alcohol, saunas and smoking for the period the clinic advises after injections or energy treatments.
  • Arrange for someone to accompany you home if you choose sedation.
  • Follow the specific aftercare for your treatment, such as massage after Sculptra or sun protection after energy devices.
  • Contact the clinic promptly about increasing pain, unusual swelling, skin colour change, fever, or any change in vision.
